Our group class is somewhat different than most you you will encounter. First we accept all dogs, from small to very large. Puppies to older dogs; fearful to fearsome. I teach and train to educate and save dogs from becoming throwaway possessions. I am the dogs advocate! My philosophy is that dogs should be a functional part of your family or have an active working job, i.e. protection dog, herding, Companion dog etc. My classes are also ongoing classes with no beginning or ending. Meaning that when you join our group you will be with other dogs that may be at their last lesson or anywhere in-between. I find no time is wasted in your emergence to the basic commands. It is continually reinforced with repetition and under varying distractions. You are then expected to practice short sessions in different settings and distractions with repetition at home or elsewhere for best results.
My second group is with puppies and advanced training. This is a multi-purpose group. It has the element of young dogs learning naturally through association; with well behaved and temperamentally balanced mature dogs. This also acclimates the older dog to puppy behavior but also tests the advanced dog through distractions. It’s not the usual puppy kindergarten. We do more than socialize. I am a major advocate of early stimulation and shaping of behavior, ”Imprinting”. I do a lot of sound conditioning, realistic training and conditioning. We have puppies going over things and have lots of fun while training, join us, but if not with us give direction and train your dog so he will become a companion and not a liability or throw away… the biggest killer of young dogs is lack of training.
Classes in a large group setting. Teaching leash training, introduction to agility/confidence, socialization, sound conditioning and basic obedience includes sit, stand, down, stay and follow response. Eight hours of training. $125.00
Gone to the Dogs believes we offer the most comprehensive program for your money. These programs are not assigned to someone else, but are performed on a personal basis by a Master trainer with over a quarter century of experience in “all” phases of every type of training and canine behavior. If your dog can do it, I can train them for it.
I believe in “the extra mile” and ask you to get everything out of your training. The more you are willing to accomplish in our time frame the more I will offer you. I also have to say, I love what I do and live by my reputation and what I do. I will try to answer your every question with a resource.
Gold Premium Plus
- (6) Private Sessions and
- (8) Group classes, plus telephonic and email support throughout the four to four and a half months of training. You will be encouraged to call for full value and support. This program covers every aspect of your companion and your needs, from selection of a companion, to containment, health, nutrition, behavior and obedience. You will be asked to make a list of what you’d like your dog to do and what you’d prefer him not do. Nothing is too silly and I make recommendations on top of that; that may suit your needs. First session is an hour and a half, each session after is forty-five minutes to an hour. Group class is one hour weekly. This is my tried and true program that will give you a lifetime of enjoyment and fulfillment for your companion when followed with consistency. Amortizing the cost over an average of ten year life span you will find this the best value for you.
