Bio Sensor Program (Early Stimulation) and Imprinting

The Bio-sensor program is a largely undiscovered program that has many merits for breeders of any breed. It's assets include health advantages and stabilization of the nerve base. As with most programs it cannot make your dog any more than it is genetically predisposed.

The programs key is early stimulation at a time when we thought nothing could be accomplished because the cerebral cortex was not completely developed until the twenty-first day. Just the right amount of stimulation is needed not too much nor too little. The stimulation is tactile, thermal , locomotion and motion. I have used this program with numerous litters with great satisfaction. What I notice the most is the kick back attitudes, being very calm in attitude, easily adapting

You can find more information from author Dr. Carmen Battaglia who asked that his work not be copied to another site. I respect this request. I have also tried to gain the background or studies of this program without success. The link is: http://www.breedingbetterdogs.com/achiever.html The Doctor has some other very good articles at this site, both scientific and valid issues for everyone. Learn all you can and give all you can when it comes to the well being of our most favorite companions, they're worth it and then some!

Imprinting

A form of rapid learning very early in an animal's social development that results in strong behavioral patterns of attraction to members of it's own species, especially parents. Imprinting was first described by Konrad Lorenz in 1937 when he trained young ducks and geese to follow him and regard him as their mother. (Encarta)
