Dog Whisperer
http://www.cesarmillaninc.com/foundation This is a link to the “Dog Whisperer” and under referrals, it will take you to http://www.dogpro.org Which is the only Association I partner with, being “International Association of Canine Professionals” referring the professionals of this Association. I personally am thankful that Cesar has opened eyes towards correcting behavioral issues through the understanding of Canine Psychology. We agree in principle yet use different approaches. i.e. Cesar trains using a pack, I train using direction and re-direction in a behavioral sense, using obedience. We both train (re-train) owners/families to understand the needs of their companions. I’m a strong advocate of “Early Stimulation”; “Imprinting” and “Understanding How Dogs Think by Wm Campbell”.
I have been asked numerous times about the comparison between Cesar and myself and I state what I said above but I have been doing so for twenty seven plus years; having said that, I want to emphasize this in no way takes away from Cesar or his abilities and I admire what he has created for himself and the awareness it serves for our companions. Watching his program will help you to some degree but generally you’ll need professional guidance in most instances. Good training, use knowledge, patience and repetition. Beware of “Method Training” and “Franchise Trainers”. The idea that they will guarantee lifetime programs is usually because it isn’t done right the first time!

Huge source of information and great training videos. Ed has his own way of doing things and lets you know it. You may see my name under some Rottweiler videos I scanned for them. Personally love the site and the guy who started it!

William E. Campbell author. I used to say to clients, “this is a well written article…”, but I was sent to the corner for that statement by a client English teacher. So now I say, “…it has lots of pertinent information that every dog owner needs to understand.” Whew!

American Kennel Club
www.AKC.org

This is the “Big Momma” in the U.S. for kennel and dog registration. Being A.K.C. registered is not a reason to buy a dog. I see pups being sold as if this were something big. It’s like selling a car that is DMV registered. That’s not to take anything away from the A.K.C. as I personally appreciate the work they have done in DNA and genome project.
